Hardness Testing Methods

UCI Method (Ultrasonic Contact Impedance)

High-precision method ideal for small parts, thin materials, and surface-hardened components. Measures hardness by analyzing ultrasonic frequency shift.

  • Excellent for thin parts (min 1mm)
  • Small test area (0.5mm diameter)
  • High accuracy ±3 HV

Leeb Method (Rebound)

Fast and simple method for large components and rough surfaces. Measures hardness based on impact body rebound velocity.

  • Ideal for large, heavy parts
  • Quick testing in any direction
  • Multiple probe options
